The Medical Imaging Department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was established in 1999. It is a comprehensive department integrating X-ray, CT, MRI, and DSA, and is now a key specialty of clinical medicine in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City.
There are currently 98 medical staff in the department, including 22 with senior professional and technical titles, 15 with doctoral degrees, and 28 with master's degrees. Professor Cheng Guanxun, the head of the discipline and academic leader, is currently a standing committee member of the Magnetic Resonance Professional Committee and the Infection and Inflammation Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, as well as the Vice Chairman of the Radiology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association; Member of Guangdong Health Management Society and Vice Chairman of Radiology Professional Committee; Vice President of the Shenzhen Radiology Branch, Chairman of the Radiology Committee of the Shenzhen Health Management Association, and multiple academic part-time positions.
The department has 4 digital angiography machines (DSA), 6 superconducting high field MR scanners, 8 high-end multi-slice spiral CT scanners, 1 digital gastrointestinal machine, 13 DR and mobile DR machines, 2 digital breast machines, and is equipped with modern PACS and RIS systems as well as an intelligent remote medical information consultation center. It is a modern department with strong professional strength, reasonable talent pool, advanced medical facilities, and beautiful working environment.
The department aims to develop research-oriented precision medical imaging diagnosis based on imaging big data, and has reached advanced levels in early imaging diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, digestive system diseases, bone and joint and motion system diseases, rheumatic and immune metabolic diseases, and tumors, as well as brain functional imaging and AI clinical applications in China.
